First painted crane.

As you may know, for my final project in my Water Media class, I'm working on origami cranes that represent old Japan (geisha, tea houses, daimyo, samurai, Shinto, etc) and new Japan (video games, anime, new media, weird fashions, etc). Here's my first crane, "new Japan."

Every visible part is painted, so you would have to look all over the crane to see all of the paintings, even inside some partially visible flaps. The whole crane is not painted, though; I've made a template planning out which parts will be seen and therefore painted and which parts are completely hidden.
One down, three to go.
